Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation (AHAC) is a multi-disciplinary organisation which provides primary health care services to the Aboriginal people of Tennant Creek and the surrounding Barkly region, dedicated to ‘Closing the Gap’ in Aboriginal health within remote Australia.
Anyinginyi Health consists of five different sections (Health Services, Business Services, Public Health Unit, Sports and Recreation, and Piliyintinji-Ki Stronger Families) which allow them to have a holistic approach to health ensuring that clients’ physical and emotional health and wellbeing is given the utmost priority.
Anyinginyi Health’s mission is to be a provider of high quality holistic primary health care services featuring prevention and treatment in the Barkly region in a culturally responsive way.

It also has sporting facilities (e.g. swimming pool, basketball courts, tennis court, football ground, car racing track), and several tourists attractions within easy reach Like our Beautiful Lake Mary Ann!
About the Role
The Corporate Services Administration Officer is an integral member of the Corporate Services team, providing front line customer support services and administrative support across the range of services provided, including general administration support throughout Corporate services section as directed by the Executive Manager Corporate Services.
Corporate Services provides a holistic corporate hub service to the five sections of Anyinginyi and external clients, so multiple task knowledge and action across all areas is a necessity.
More specifically, some of your duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Supervise and mentor Receptionist /Administration Trainee on a daily basis as required.
- Assist with general administrative duties required in holistic services provided by Corporate Services as directed by Executive Manager Corporate Services
- Records and file management, daily mail collection (NT driver’s license required)/ distribution
- Draft correspondence as required
- Maintain good business relations with clients, management and other staff through telephone or other forms of communication to meet service needs and general enquiries
- Support in stores management and distribution
- Arrange staff and manager’s meeting appointments and make any necessary catering, travel and accommodation arrangements
- Support and or backfilling other Sections as go between when employees are not in attendance.
- Distribute and oversee the fuel cards and collate monthly fuel checks.
- Maintain Stationery needs for Corporate Services section
- Maintain internal phone lists for organisation
- Undertake other duties at the direction of the Executive Manager Corporate Services
About you
To be considered for this position, you must maintain Respect for Traditional Culture and cultural diversity and acquire the ability to communicate effectively within a diverse working environment. Previous experience or qualifications within Administration will be highly regarded but is not mandatory.
As this is an Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander Identified position, to be successful in this position you must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Descent.
The Administration Officer requires a current NT Driver’s License to be successful in their application.
