This is an exciting position for a talented the Lead Software Engineer with proven experience to join our ranks. The Lead Software Engineer are the conduit between the customer and our own engineering team – they connect the dots between the commercial, technical, and business requirements. They oversee:
How the customer vision will be realised,
What the best technical solution is – balancing cost / effort & time
What the best delivery approach is and how we would organise ourselves
How we ensure we do what we say we would and ultimately exceed our customer’s expectations.
Do Your Technical Capabilities Include
Demonstrated technical expertise in the end-to-end design and implementation of Internet scale web and mobile applications using cloud native services
Demonstrated technical expertise of one or more of the following programming languages: Typescript/Javascript, Java, Python, GoLang, or .Net
Solid understanding of modern software engineering techniques: microservice and event driven architectures, test driven development and continuous delivery
Solid experience with AWS (AWS certification is highly desirable).
A deep understanding of DevOps. Being able to talk from real-life experience about automation, pipelines and the culture shift required.
An understanding of enterprise cloud best practices, including AWS Cloud Adoption Framework and AWS Well-Architected Framework
An agile practitioner with the ability to work with modern collaboration tools (confluence, JIRA) and support new ways of working, thinking, and behaving
