The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of the Melbourne Centre for Nanofabrication, the focus of this role will be to conduct independent research as part of a wider multidisciplinary team investigating the effects of surface microtopography on stem cell fate.
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for conducting research under limited supervision either as a member of a team or, where appropriate, independently. Developing 3D micro and nanostructures including sensor components using nanofabrication techniques; and using these structures to determine the biological impact of cellular force generation and distribution with single-cell resolution.
The successful candidate will have a background and significant training in the interdisciplinary domain between nanotechnology and cell biology.
