About the Role:
Our client is currently seeking multiple Cyber Security Professionals to join their Secure Design and Architecture (SDA) section in the Cyber Uplift Branch. The team is responsible for providing advice and guidance to Government entities on the cyber security design and architecture of new and emerging ICT projects to ensure high-quality secure-by-design principles and practice are used.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide practical advice to Government entities on threat modelling, architectural patterns, and the secure design of upcoming systems.

Skills and Experience:

The successful candidate will have expert knowledge in technical components of cyber security and will be able to expand those skills to a wide range of situations.

The diverse nature of Government agencies and their varying roles requires specialist skills in multiple areas of technology and cyber security. Candidates with experience or qualifications in any of the following are encouraged to apply:

• Cyber Security assessments and auditing
• Cyber security architecture
• Cyber and information security
• Cloud security design and implementation
• Systems and software design
• Network design and implementation
• Systems administration
• Vulnerability research and discovery

Essential criteria

1. Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of technical Cyber Security experience.
2. Experience with the ACSC Information Security Manual (ISM) or similar information security control frameworks.
3. Demonstrated experience working with a security focus on system design, development and engineering.
4. Demonstrated experience with system modelling and/or security architecture.

Desirable criteria

1. Demonstrated experience working with Cloud systems, such as AWS or Azure.
2. Demonstrated experience in information security threat modelling and secure development lifecycles.
