The Manager, Research and Impact reports directly to the Executive Manager, Policy, Strategy & Impact, and works across the organisation, using deep technical expertise to provide strategic direction and planning for the delivery of a wide range of projects and initiatives.

In this career defining role, you will be responsible for continuing to drive and shape our approach to research and evaluation.

You will also develop and nurture excellent relationships across the organisation and with key external stakeholders, including staff in research institutions and other partner organisations.

You will possess exceptional leadership skills, have a “can-do” attitude and be comfortable working in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.

Building and maintaining great relationships with stakeholders, using your exceptional communication skills, will be a demonstrated strength.

Remuneration: $126,933-$152,586 (plus superannuation and other benefits)

Qualifications and experience required:

Relevant tertiary and post graduate qualifications

Extensive industry experience with a record of achievement and/or experience working within the public health or government sectors including extensive experience in engaging the university sector

Extensive experience providing technical advice and quality assurance to major research investments, evaluations and related activities across a diverse portfolio

Strong experience in using contemporary evaluation theory and design, and leading the design and implementation of evaluation methodologies, frameworks and data collection tools, coupled with demonstrated experience applying this knowledge to real-world situations

Ability to translate applied research studies and findings with internal and external stakeholders, to drive meaningful change and impact

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and people leadership skills

An industry leader in developing and maintaining integral stakeholder relationships
