THE COMPANY
Join a highly respected Foodservice business with a strong focus on partnering with leading multinational players in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) space. Core to their offering is technical food innovations, New Product Development (NPD) and manufacturing processing.
This is a well-established QSR provider who are affiliated with both the network of a hugely successful international Foodservice business and the local processing capability of an Australian-owned technical food solutions company with around 250 employees locally.

THE ROLE
Due to a recent changes in the team, an opportunity has arisen for a technically minded Foodservice relationship manager and business developer to join the organisation as the Key Account Manager.
As part of a small and close-knit team, supported by two larger organisations, you will primarily work closely with instantly reconisable QSR accounts such as Pizza Hut, Guzmen y Gomez and Hungry Jack’s. The majority of these relationships will be managed directly as you work on new product development (NPD), particularly with sauces and seasonings. You should have a good technical understanding of food ingredients and will be tasked with revenue generation as well ongoing relationship management.
You will be supported by the ANZ Strategic Account Manager and will work with accounts across the ANZ region. There will be a small component of interstate travel in the role. 
Day-to-day:

  • Work strategically with QSR / Foodservice customers
  • Help develop relationships
  • Work on NPD projects and value add
  • Participate in some interstate travel
  • Drive revenue growth and look for new partnership opportunities
  • Provide technical food knowledge
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 2 years’ + Foodservice sales, technical food, cheffing or relationship management experience 
  • Developed networks within Foodservice highly regarded
  • Experience of managing relationships
  • Commercial experience 
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Desirable: QSR contacts and knowledge
  • Desirable: Technical food qualifications such as BSc in Food Tech
  • Desirable: Chef background
