Web Designer

An opportunity is now available for an experienced Web Designer to join our Client and Digital Solutions team in the Brisbane office. 

The Web Designer is responsible for working on client facing web projects as well as managing and administering web applications, portals, tools and services. You will also provide support to the CDS team, help with problem solving and actively participate in the strategic direction and application of new web based applications that are changing the way out clients work.

Key responsibilities

• Design web user interfaces and dashboards to sit over smart web applications using CSS, HTML, JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks.
• Provide input in the configuration, testing and implementation of new/enhanced client facing web applications, tools and services.
• Proactively experiment in utilising new design methods and principles to create game changing user experiences and web interfaces.
• Provide development and designer services for “business as usual” requests – i.e. servicing clients, client projects and partner requests
• Provide consulting services to practice groups and clients to assist with process efficiencies and recommendations of professional and efficient web based solutions and processes.

Required skills and experience

• Strong customer focus with a positive and proactive approach to client service.
• A strong team player at all levels who can assist and develop others in the team.
• Ability to apply design thinking and conceptualise solutions.
• Ability to be take ownership of tasks, identify areas for improvement and take the initiative to own it and drive positive outcomes.
• Some exposure or understanding of legacy web frameworks such as JQuery and Bootstrap
• Strong skills in interface design / creation, JavaScript and HTML.
