Food Safety Lead

The Company:
The organisation boasts a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant and offers high quality food products to all major retailers nationally. The company has a great culture and plenty of growth opportunities. To provide further support and leadership to the Quality Team, the company has decided to bring on an experienced Food Safety Lead.

The Role:

• Developing and maintaining the Food Safety Management system.
• Responsible for conducting internal and external audits.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining documents regarding Food Safety including HACCP, Food Defence / Fraud, Allergen Management and Foreign Material Control on site.
• The Development and implementation of systems, procedures, SOPs and training material to achieve Food Safety at site.
• Investigating incidents and conduct a Root cause analysis.
• Working with clients on Food safety and Food improvement.
• Hands-on with customers and clients, nurturing current relationships and developing existing relationships

Skills and Experience: 
The potential candidate will have good knowledge of business operations including Food Safety, GMP, HACCP and SOP. They will be face-to-face with customers, suppliers and clients, discussing food quality and improvement.
This person will be leading a team, so it will be important to have leadership experience and have the ability of implementing a structure for success.
This person must have experience in a fast paced environment, with experience working a Quality position in FMCG. 
It would be preferred that the candidate has obtained a Bachelors Degree in Science, Food Science or related discipline.
