 Use AKTA Pure systems for high-throughput protein purification with a wide variety of affinity-based chromatography approaches.

Characterise size-exclusion fractions to prepare high-quality reagents according to end user requirements.

Aliquot and store purified protein reagents using a cloud-based Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

Support the fulfilment of protein aliquot requests using the cloud-based LIMS.

Ensure that all experimental activities and outcomes are documented in the Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) in sufficient detail to provide a basis for regulatory submissions and protection of IP.

Present laboratory work to internal collaborators, as needed, to facilitate decision-making for CSL R&D projects.

Contribute to the upkeep of laboratory equipment to maintain a highly functioning laboratory facility.

Ensure your role is carried out in compliance with CSL’s HSE policies

A tertiary degree in Biomedical or Biological Science with laboratory experience in industry, pathology or academia.

A comprehensive understanding of affinity and size-exclusion chromatography techniques.

Experience handling large sample numbers for routine processes such as SDS-PAGE, fraction pooling and protein concentration using ultrafiltration devices.

Demonstrated expertise in the use of AKTA Pure systems and Unicorn software.

Experience in HPLC using Chromeleon or ChemStation software would be valued.

Experience using a digital LIMS would be well regarded.

Additional expertise in robotic liquid handling or a scientific track record in one of CSL’s therapeutic areas (Respiratory, Cardiovascular & Metabolics, Immunology, Hematology, or Transplant) would also be well regarded.
