We are seeking an invested and passionate Cluster Sales Manager to oversee our four WA properties, based in Perth. In the heart of the city and with a growing global hotel brand, this could be the next step to further grow your experienced sales career.

JOB STATEMENT

As Sales Manager you are responsible for soliciting business and maximising revenue potential from selected corporate businesses, domestic leisure wholesalers, Inbound Tour Operators, international incentive, entertainment groups and other market centric group opportunities as determined by the properties’ revenue plan strategies, delivering accommodation (and incremental Food & Beverage revenues) business for all hotels in your portfolio. As a Cluster Sales Manager you will actively convert enquiries into confirmed business and consistently strive to develop relationships with new and repeat booking customers to increase revenue and demand.

SALES and CLIENT/GUEST RELATIONSHIPS

  • Strive to create exceptional experiences for our guests and key account holders – making their experience one to remember.
  • Proactively build a rapport with clients, establishing their needs, sell the benefits of the hotels and convert the business.
  • Handle all accounts, getting to know the major players, bookers and continue to build the relationship through telephone, email and personal contact, whichever is most appropriate.
  • Entertain clients within the hotels as relevant to the account.
  • Visit clients on a regular basis at their place of work.
  • Respond to all enquiries within 48 hours with customized quotes and follow up within 48 hours to establish interest and to try to convert the business.
  • Deal with clients in a warm, friendly but efficient way, always displaying professionalism and thereby ensuring conversion and repeat business.
  • Participate in the marketing plan/strategy for each hotel each year and help formulate action plans to increase the business.
  • Be target driven and committed to meeting performance criteria in relation to revenue for rooms and events and the hotels’ total revenue being mindful of profitability.
  • Use the Delphi Sales System to ensure all leads are followed; traces followed up and generally use the system to its best advantage.
  • Use your initiative to find ways of promoting the hotels to clients, both current and prospective, and liaise closely with the Marketing and Communications Managers to do the same.
  • Develop new business as well as growing existing business, including meeting “call” and entertainment targets
  • Prepare the weekly call summary and monthly report.
  • Keep the account management records up to date within the Delphi system.
  • Be aware of competitor activity and conducts competition checks as required.

TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that the hotel teams are aware of “your” events/clients/accounts and any particular notable events.
  • Build a good relationship with both Event Sales/Reservations to ensure a seamless “journey” for the client.
  • Attend weekly and monthly sales and communication meetings and attend the leadership meeting as required at each property.
