This vacancy is for a period of nine (9) months with the possibility of extension and/or permanency starting 3 April 2023, while the substantive occupant is acting in another position.

About the role

The Resource and Technology Officer coordinates technology support services to the Court, relating to court recording and audio-visual services.

This position assists in the management of court recording contracts, performing audits and liaising between the Court and its contractors.

Further, the position develops and maintains the Supreme Court’s portal and undertakes maintenance of the Supreme Court website.

Eligibility

  • To be eligible for a permanent appointment to the Western Australian public sector it is essential that you are an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status in Australia.
  • To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the duration of the contract.

    About you

    The Courts Technology Officer must be able to work independently, think laterally and problem solve. The officer must be proactive, able to work under pressure, manage competing deadlines and re-priorities their workload.

    It is essential that the incumbent possess the qualities to be able to undertake the following duties:

  • Be responsible for coordinating court recording and audio-visual services that include troubleshooting, equipment testing and reporting faults.
  • Provide staff with assistance and training.
  • Manage the booking system for video and audio links, including issuing invoices for videoconferencing and ensuring payment.
  • Repair, replacement and disposal of court assets.
  • Conduct performance audits of the Court and Tribunal Services Court recording contract, report on the use of facilities and collect associated statistics.
  • Manage the Supreme Court website to ensure the accuracy of online content in accordance with government and Court policies and guidelines. You will liaise with internal and external clients in relation to content and structure.
