The Opportunity:

AIA Australia is undergoing a large-scale digital transformation together with several major technology initiatives to address the dynamics of the market. As part of the transformation, we are scaling out rapidly, increasing demand on our current team, requiring additional capacity and capability.

We are seeking a highly experienced information security professional to build and mature new and existing capabilities with a primary focus on incident management, security governance, and cyber awareness.

The successful candidate would be responsible for:

• Enhancement, implementation and operation of the cyber security program for AIA Australia that spans detection, prevention and response in collaboration with AIA Group
• Recommending courses of action based on analysis of both existing and emerging threats. Deliver reports, briefings and assessments to leadership to facilitate their understanding of emerging issues
• Providing leadership of incident response activities (triage, root cause analysis, escalations, notifications, communication, etc.) and develop strategies to contain and eradicate the incident. Ensure operations are recovered seamlessly
• Creation and constant improvement of operational processes and procedures
• Regular reporting of operational security activities, metrics and risks
• Managing, operating and enforcing IT Security Policy and chair relevant Information Security Committees
• Driving the implementation of security technologies within the AIA Australia businesses (including CMLAS and AIA Financial Services), including Anti-Virus, Security Patching, Network Access Control, Data Loss Prevention, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Web-Application Firewalls and IAM controls

To be successful in this position, you will have:

• Extensive experience in IT Security gained in financial services or insurance
• Excellent technical skills in security technology across major cloud, Networking technologies
• Detailed knowledge of common security threats and vulnerabilities
• Strong understanding of security best practices in hybrid IT environments
• A passion for building a strong security risk culture
• Excellent communication skills – must be effective working with development teams and managers
• CISSP certification preferred
• Degree in Cyber Security, Accounting or majoring in related disciplines would also be highly regarded
