Sm17260 Senior Exploration Geologist

MES is seeking a Senior Exploration Geologist to work for our client, a global lithium producer with operations and advanced projects in Australia and the Americas, for their operation in the Great Southern Region.

1-hour flight to site. Accommodation fully catered—ideal working temperature (not melting Pilbara). The township has amenities, including local hospitals, pubs, shops, etc. 

Requirements:

• Relevant Qualification in Geology;
• Current WA class C manual driver’s license;
• Lithium experience is desirable;
• Proficient in GIS and Micromine;
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently;
• Strong organisational management skills with the ability to coach and mentor junior geologists.

Position Duties:

• Undertake work tasks as directed by the Exploration Manager;
• Supervision of exploration activities to ensure the highest standards of safety and geological data collection is maintained;
• Long-term drill schedule planning to ensure budget objectives are achieved within required timeframes;
• Coaching and mentoring exploration geologists within the team;
• Supervising drilling, and drill contractors;
• Develop, plan, implement, manage and coordinate exploration strategies.

Experience
5-10 years exploration experience (ideally with some lithium experience)
