Our client is a leading Australian success story with year-on-year growth! Due to this, they are seeking a highly skilled and technical Systems Team Lead to join their company on a permanent basis. You will be managing a small group of approximately 8 staff who are SMEs in various systems in the systems engineering space. Reporting to the Head of Managed Services, you will contribute to the success of the business through leadership, direction, and coordination of the service delivery activities for a variety of clients and overseeing your team.

Other duties may include:

• Overseeing the level 1/2/3 day to day service desk for your team of 8 within their technical verticals
• Be the go-to person for escalation across the technology stack
• Make sure the systems are reliable, scalable, and secure for the client base
• Play a key role in mentoring and developing your team fostering a culture of learning and growth
• Continuously improve the systems and infrastructure to meet evolving business needs of the managed service clients.

To apply for this excellent opportunity, you will need the following:

• 5+ years previous experience technically managing a team from the management services industry, or in a varied environment such as acquisitions or demergers
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Very strong technical skills in VMWare, Veeam, Microsoft Servers, Azure, Citrix etc.
• Experience with Ticketing Systems (ConnectWise preferred)
• Motivated by great customer service and delivery with a “can do” mind set
• Previous experience with multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced technical setting
• Excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
• A friendly, respectful personality
