The Opportunity

The Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health is making a difference to the lives of vulnerable populations across Australia and beyond. Specifically, we are seeking a Senior Research Officer that will utilise senior-level specialist knowledge to oversee and deliver high-quality management and research services to support the operations of the Turner Institute. This role will help build new key community-facing initiatives and partnerships.

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for:

  • Contribute to strategic and operational planning of new initiatives that involve embedding community groups as part of the Turner Institute’s vision to develop long-term research programs in the SE corridor of Melbourne
  • Represent the Turner Institute to community groups, government and industry partners and contribute to marketing and business development opportunities to realise funding opportunities, research collaboration, joint ventures and agreements
  • Plan and manage projects including liaising with researchers and community leaders, managing risks, project planning and design, research protocols, and ensuring excellent quality outcomes within agreed timeframes

The successful appointee will have postgraduate qualifications in psychology, allied health or cognate disciplines and extensive relevant experience.
