About This Opportunity

We are seeking a casual Cleaner to join the Gatton Cleaning team. The Cleaner will be required to undertake general cleaning duties as outlined in the Property and Facilities Division, Cleaning Workbook.

Key responsibilities but not limited to:

To be acquainted with all aspects of general cleaning in accordance with the Property and Facilities Division Cleaning Services Workbook

To clean assigned areas within the University Gatton Campus according to the manner and schedule determined by the cleaning supervisor

Ensure that general waste and recyclable wastes are appropriately disposed of

Monitor chemicals and cleaning supplies to ensure that adequate supplies are maintained

Store cleaning supplies and equipment in the assigned places and ensure stores and equipment are kept clean and tidy

Collaborate and work cohesively with the Gatton Cleaning team

About You

Demonstrated ability to work with routine supervisor and to effectively complete all tasks required

General cleaning skills

Well-developed communication skills

The ability to work within a team structure as well as work with minimum supervision, and organise the work efficiently and effectively under their jurisdiction to meet the required deadlines

Must be highly self-motivated, proactive, possess initiative, be well organised and possess a strong work ethic

Some knowledge of materials e.g., cleaning chemicals and equipment would be advantageous

What We Can Offer

This is a Casual position at HEW 1 . The hourly rate (incl. 25% casual loading) is $36.16 per hour plus superannuation of up to 10.5 %.
