The Opportunity
The Digital Product Manager will be part of the Digital Accelerators team that are providing strategic and common capabilities leveraged across all of Bupa specifically looking after the Design System. As a leader in the product creation process you need a progressive mindset that is focussed on scaling the product across the organisation. As a Product Manager you will be driving the discovery process including planning, prioritising, defining, and tracking key metrics, messaging and engagement plans within the broader teams across a range of products that are designed to help drive a connected experience for our customers and increase throughput of our teams.
The Digital Product Manager at Bupa also has a strategic role and needs to understand the market, the business, commercial opportunities, and the customer to be empowered to make the right decisions around the direction forward as well as contribute to the product strategy and vision.
This would include responsibilities such as:
- The role will look at ideas and problems that exist across multiple areas of the Bupa business that can be solved by building a strategic capability
- A strong focus on what success looks like for the product and how we will measure the success across the business
- The role works tirelessly to ensure a balance between the commercial and customer outcomes, taking a data-driven approach.
- This role needs to understand the market, the business, and the customer to be empowered to make the right decisions to drive a holistic strategy and vision for the products
- This role also requires a large amount of coordination across multiple areas of the business to gain alignment including roadmap alignment, engagement, education, and execution
- Working with the Analytics team, identify opportunities that will drive commercial value for the business.
- Create alignment and shared understanding amongst internal stakeholders
- Communicate and motivate stakeholders and teams to ensure alignment of the product vision and strategy
- Understand all internal teams / stakeholders who are impacted and that will benefit from this product
- Perform market, competitive, customer analysis
- Break down a large problem / idea into phases or horizons for delivery aligned to the overall strategy
You will bring:
- Experience working in an Agile delivery environment as a Digital Product Manager
- Solid knowledge of Lean product and customer development.
- Experience forming a Product Strategy/Vision, the ability to translate it into a roadmap, and can turn that into a backlog.
- Experience in building relationships and influencing at all levels across the organisation
- The ability to communicate, facilitate, collaborate and lead – and know when to use each.
- An appreciation for Human Centred Design.
- Experience working across multiple streams in a fast paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment with a systems thinking mentality
- An analytical focus with an appreciation of data analysis, commercial drivers, business viability and technical feasibility.
- A mix of Agile, Lean and HCD approaches and are familiar with a range of digital tools and frameworks to support your vision, roadmaps, analysis and reporting.
- A tertiary qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in Adobe Analytics or other analytics platforms
