This is a twelve (12) month fixed term, part-time ( position commencing Term 2, 2023 with possible extension and/or permanency.

Clifton Hills Primary School (PS) is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Network Support Officer to join their supportive team working one day per week.

As the Network Support Officer, you will maintain the school’s Information Technology network to maximise both educational and administrative outcomes, within the Departmental asset management and security regulatory framework.

The ability to work within the framework and understandings established by the Learning with Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) is integral to this role. The successful applicant will provide technical support to all users throughout the school including desktop and software applications and access to systems and resources.

The successful applicant will provide advice to administration staff on technical issues associated with the network system, provide input on system enhancements, and implement new systems through research and identification of appropriate Information Technology resources. Provide technical support and training to all users throughout the school including desktop and software application and access to systems and resources.

The successful applicant will ideally understand service support within a school business context and how they can help support, deliver and assist with development of new technology and transition planning. They will provide input on system enhancements and implement new systems through research and identification of appropriate information technology resources.

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):

  • Knowledge of network systems and platforms relevant to the operating environment.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills relevant to the operational maintenance of Information Technology networks.
  • Organisational skills, including the ability to plan and implement data security procedures.
  • Verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external clients.
  • Practical experience in developing and implementing user-training procedures.

  • provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
