About The Role
In this role you will be thinking both strategically and with a delivery mindset for business and customer outcomes. You will have a strong technical curiosity and understand how to navigate complex business processes and platforms.
You will be looking to stay ahead of the curve by offering new insights from research and customers while drawing from previous ecommerce experience.
A day in the life of an eCommerce Development Manager
Core Deliverables
Lead and deliver on eCommerce initiative(s) that form part of the Dan Murphy’s eCommerce growth strategy. This includes the analysis and business value modelling of the initiative(s) as well as determining and prioritising the approach to deliver on the overall OKRs and benefits. Manage all aspects of the initiative(s) to ensure the overall program and deliverable are aligned to and directly support the achievement of strategic objectives & ORKs, which can be cross-functional or cross-divisional. Lead as a brand representative and own delivery of all the identified priorities in partnership with other squads/tribes/teams. Understand and evaluate external, market and industry trends; anticipating brand or business impacts and identifying business opportunities Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables. Agile Operations
Apply and enable Agile/Lean principles, frameworks and mindset as a fundamental way of operating within the Squad. Deliver on an established and prioritised list of epics, break it down in stories, create internal documentation and ecommerce collateral Ensure that backlog items are “ready” for a team to deliver; Define milestones and ensure delivery to plan Stakeholder Management
Proactively manages all relevant stakeholders including senior management, building consensus and commitment to project outcomes. Engage stakeholders outside of the Squad and/or Tribe and align communications on trade plan, roadmaps and eCommerce progress Proactively support others on the Squad when team members need help Manage prioritisation and trade-offs among conflicting business priorities What You’ll need to succeed
Key Experiences
5-7 years experience working in digital and/or eComm growth Customer first mindset Independent thinking, and not being afraid to suggest new ideas Experience working in an agile organisation or with cross functional teams Ability to build collaborative relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders Innovative thinking and demonstrated problem-solving skills Driven by delivery, delivering on time and to high standards Data driven but able to make judgement calls when necessary Comfortable with managing multiple tasks at once Core Capabilities and Competencies
