TERRITORY MANAGER
LOCATION – SOUTH AUSTRALIA (Hybrid Autonomous – ont he road and from home)
STABLE FULL TIME POSITION WITH PROFIT SHARE & COMMISIONS
$85,422 + Super + fully Maintained Vehicle
38 HOUR WORK WEEK, REASONABLE OVERTIME AS REQUIRED
YOUR ROLE
The purpose of the Territory Manager is to work with the Operations Manager to establish and achieve the sales goals of their respective territory. The territory manager must also support clients and customers with technical repairs as required.

Our client is a market leading for a Canadian manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment, specialising in the broad acre seeding and tillage. Their products are channelled through a network of dealers across Australia and have earned a reputation for quality and productivity backed by our market leading parts and service.
CORE OBJECTIVES
- The role is mobile, on the road and from home (flexible with current living location)
- Semi-autonomous role
- Call upon and establish a professional relationship with all pertinent dealer personnel, so as to reflect a positive company image and instil the company philosophy of superior quality products.
- Effectively deliver and communicate a continuous product education program for each dealership and within all of the applicable departments of the dealership including:
- Sales
- Service
- Parts
- Warranty Administration
- Ensure all marketing programs and bulletins are received and understood by all pertinent staff at each dealership including trading terms and discounts.
- Assist dealers and sales teams to ensure they understand the whole goods price book and are quoting accurately; also assist in completing and submitting orders as required to ensure their accuracy.
- Ensure all dealers and sales teams are using current pricing information and that all revisions have been received and old editions discarded.
- In situations where special pricing or payment terms might be required, assist the dealer by seeking special authorization from the Operations Manager.
- Monitor the market conditions, sales pricing, promotions and activities to ensure the sales goals are on course. Recommend to the management any adjustments, additions or changes deemed necessary to achieve the territory goals.
- Resolve dealer concerns, problems and frustrations as they arise, including hands on mechanical works.
- Establish and communicate strategies and details to effectively sell against the competitors in the respective trade areas.
- Report to Operations Manager whenever applicable if an account/dealer is considered financially troubled and a possible risk.
- Assist dealership sales and service departments in resolving customer complaints quickly and effectively.
- Provide dealership training and assistance in commissioning new machines.
- Ensure the all commissioned machines have all safety guards, handrails and decals in place and are in good order. Remember you have a Duty of Care to yourself and all those who may be affected by your actions.
- Ensure that all dealer staff, owners and operators are fully aware of and able to meet all requirements for OH & S when operating or within close proximity to operating equipment.
- Coordinate trade shows for the respective territory including product requirements, display set-up and knockdown.
- Attend trade shows, demonstrations, and industry seminars as necessary to maximize exposure and effectiveness in the trade area.
Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required.
Qualifications: A Diploma or Trade Qualification in a mechanically oriented course, or equivalent experience would assist in in-depth product understanding (Examples would be: Motor Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Mechanical Fitter, Hydraulic Fitter, Electrical Fitter)
Knowledge: Agriculture -machinery and industry . Quote and Pricing – knowledge of our equipment, how to price, familiarity with Excel. Service – mechanical aptitude – electrical/electronic equipment – repairing and maintenance procedures. General Operation Of tractors and other equipment. Interpersonal skills – establish quality relationships, ability to manage conflict. Personal Computer Applications. Public Relations – Public Speaking-Presentations. Planning and Time Management. Day to day operation knowledge at dealerships. Comfortable with long periods of driving and being away from the home environment. Broad understanding of customers’ needs. Practical & logical approach. Creativity in problem solving, whether design, organisation, management, etc. Ability to step back & objectively reassess in light of the “big picture”, to recognise and let go of bias (i.e. “flexibility”); Drive (initiative, self-motivation). Effectively listening, team working & the ability to see the need, draw in and utilize all relevant and available resources. Commitment to corporate philosophy & values and to doing all possible to contribute to the achievement of priority corporate objectives.

Other: Clean driving licence is essential
