Initial 12 months contract + 2x 12 month extension options

One of Australia’s reputable Federal Government Departments is looking to engage with 2x Java Developers to join their team. The successful Java Developers to support a number of current and upcoming ICT projects. The successful Java Developers will secure an initial 12 month contract plus 2x 12 month extension options and a rewarding hourly rate.

The successful Java Developers will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Provide ongoing maintenance and support;
Improve data quality and integrity;
Assist with the procurement and implementation of a secure portal and the integration.
Assess future technology and capability needs.

The successful Java Developers will need to meet the following criteria:

Demonstrated experience in the development of business systems in Java, primarily using JEE frameworks, or equivalent (such as Spring)
Experience in the setup of environments to execute Java based applications, in both Unix and Windows, using JEE containers (such as Tomcat)
Proven experience develop and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
