What will your typical day look like?
As a Manager / Senior Manager within our technology practice, you will provide exceptional client experiences leading teams in applying our methodologies to deliver our core services. As a leader and role model, expect to: Leading/ support leading IT M&A engagements, including transaction strategy, transaction execution and through to integration/separation from a technology perspective Support leading and delivering (large) complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement business and technology solutions for clients in M&A context Delivering IT M&A related advice to senior C-Suite stakeholders, identifying solutions to complex client issues Showing a deep understanding of technology, vendors and industries in which our clients operate Lead and manage delivery of reports, strategies, plans, designs, business cases and other client deliverables Leading proposal development and commercial structuring for future client engagements, demonstrating risk management awareness Leading marketing initiatives and practice development activities (e.g. key client account management, propositions, training, marketing, communications and recruitment activities) Developing and maintaining relationships with client stakeholders Managing diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution. About the team Our dynamic Sydney team sits as part of a connected national and APAC team. It is responsible for answering the most challenging client problems: how can Technology strategy enable a business to deliver outcomes; how do we select and design technology to enable growth; how do we structure their enterprise and domain architecture functions; how to solve complex business and technology problems; and how to execute technology-led transformations. You are someone with 10+ years’ experience in a client facing/advisory role, either in-house or in a Consulting environment. In this role you will take responsibility for shaping, leading and delivering added value through technology advisory and consulting experience. We expect applicants to have a degree of experience in the following areas: Clear communications to clients, stakeholders and teams through your strong written and verbal communication skills to adapt to technical and non-technical audiences Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment Applying practical experience with communications, culture, and change management Ability to work independently and manage multiple (IT M&A) assignments Experience with staff development and mentoring practitioners Experience leading or mentoring teams Ability to build consensus and foster change in ambiguous settings Developing and maintaining relationships with senior client stakeholders Applying appropriate methodologies, standards, frameworks and tools Knowledge and insight into the industry and technology challenges being faced by our clients in an industry sector Commitment to travel to client locations. Additional desirable experience includes: Post-graduate experience – either consulting or in one or more of the following industries: Financial Services, Public Sector (Central and /or Local and Regional Government, Healthcare and Education), Consumer Goods, Retail, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Energy and Utilities, Telecoms, Media, Technology A broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them Deep knowledge of M&A in at least one industry A clear understanding of the firm’s commitment to creating a more inclusive culture We are Consulting We exist to solve complex problems Our consultants are renowned for their straightforward approach to solving some of the world’s largest and most complex business challenges.
