The role

We are currently seeking a talented, dedicated and passionate Demi Chef / Chef de Partie to join our dynamic Kitchen Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef and the other members of the Kitchen with the food production whilst ensuring quality, consistency, productivity and high standards at all times.

Duties and responsibilities

· Preparing mise-en-place for your designated work station to ensure the smooth running of service;

· Prepare all food items in accordance with standard recipes;

· Support the Senior Chefs in keeping up to date with the newest products and recipes;

· Supervise Junior chefs and coordinate daily assignments with them;

· Check food rotation to ensure freshness of all food products, keeping control of food wastage;

· Adhere to the Hotel’s Policies and Procedures;

· Meet all health and hygiene requirements and cleanliness.

  The successful candidate must have

· An Australian recognized Trade or relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery;

· Excellent communications skills, friendly and helpful;

· A team player and ‘can do’ attitude, with strong planning and organizational skills;

· The availability to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays;

· Knowledge of HACCP and relevant food safety accreditations;

· Be fully COVID-19 vaccinated.
