About the role

The purpose of this role is to work with technical team members to map, analyse and document business and technical processes, and the develop the implementation of technical solutions that support the internal business processes of our client.
 

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Developer with the development and implementation of a Services platform that will be used within the corporate website, as well as delivered through a new mobile app (both Apple and Android) 
• Contribute to the development life cycle and perform definition and feasibility analysis, plus contribute to the technical and platform design of new solutions
• Prepare test data and functional specifications
• Troubleshoot and solve problems related to development of new services, plus the operational support of services already in production
• Identify potential process improvements and contribute to service development based on architecture guidelines and frameworks.

Highly desirable criteria

• Proven experience in developing Single Page Apps (SPA) utilising the React framework
• Proven experience in developing mobile applications for Android and Apple using common cross-platform development frameworks, such as React Native, Flutter or Ionic (preference for React Native)
• Proven experiencing developing using DevOps pipelines, Github repositories and automation
• Comfortable working with a range of IDEs and Testing tools

Desirable criteria

• Ability to work in a cross-functional environment, assisting in the resolution of conflicts, assistance to drive decisions, and manage ambiguity.
• Works well in a team or autonomously with a focus on keeping delivery on track as it relates to your inputs.
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining positive relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
• Experience in working with virtual (and shared) team of resources.
• Highly developed written skills (documentation, communications, and presentations).
• Ability to grasp innovative ideas and get onboard with the Solution Architects vision, with the ability to successfully turn the ideas into reality.
