Chef/cook

Little Magic Momo, a Nepali restaurant, is seeking a skilled and experienced Chef/Cook for a full-time position. The salary for this position will be between $55k – $65k per year.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate must be able to execute the following duties:

– Preparing and cooking authentic Nepali cuisine to the highest standard
– Creating menus and specials, keeping in mind the demands of customers and dietary requirements
– Ensuring that all kitchen operations are compliant with safety and sanitation regulations, including cleaning and hygiene protocols
– Maintaining accurate inventory records and keeping track of supplies that need to replenish
– Determining the best use of leftover ingredients to minimize waste and increase efficiency
– Maintaining a high level of professionalism when managing and supervising staff
– Continuously doing research, experimentation and development of new Nepali dishes

Qualifications:

 The candidate must have the following qualifications:

– Minimum of 3 years of experience in Nepali cuisine cooking; including working with a tandoor oven and wok.
– A Diploma/Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent qualification
– Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
– Strong communication and time management skills to work in fast-paced environment
– Passion for Nepali Cuisine
