About the Role

This is an exciting role for engaged and energetic leader to come and make a mark on a large scale mining operation. Working on a Monday to Friday roster with flexible options available, this role will touch all aspects of the geological value chain.

This role will cover:

• Working closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective geological information & technical advice
• Providing coaching and feedback to direct reports and wider geology team
• Providing peer review support to on-going projects around site.
• Driving continuous improvement in current processes and help the mine to achieve their goals

About You

You will require:

• Tertiary Qualifications in Geology or similar
• Problem solving, strong analytical skills and a focus on continuous Improvement
• Technical skills with mining software packages (Vulcan, Isite, Geobank, QGIS)

It is also desirable for:

• Sound understanding of geological modelling, database management and validation techniques & geological data collection,
• Experience with open cut coal mining, in-pit coal recovery, coal quality & blend optimisation
• Prior leadership experience & passion for people development
• Open cut experience
• Passion to learn
