About the role

:

The Web Developer will work on a project thatdelivers a range of ICT services to an agency including infrastructure, application development and communications. ICT services are delivered through a select sourcing model, with a mixture of in-house and outsourced resources.

The project is committed to building the agency’s information technology capability by providing resilient, modern, and secure systems informed by data and insights, and to upskill teams to develop innovative new products and services.

This position is a 6 months contract and is based in Canberra.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide administration and support for the day-to-day operations of web channels following procedures, Government standards and accessibility requirements and to professional industry standards.

Provide technical advice and assistance support to user groups, external contractors and general employees in the design, development, testing, implementation, and enhancement of the web channels.

Manage assigned web project work and provide technical advice in a complex IT environment.

Develop and maintain key internal and external relationships, including liaising with stakeholders on policy, project or operational issues and responding to stakeholder needs and expectations. Represent the agency at meetings, conferences and seminars.

Provide accurate specialist advice, guidance and reporting on team functional responsibilities.

Key Skills:

Demonstrated knowledge and experience with responsive front-end web development, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery

Understanding of web design, development and maintenance and a proven ability to apply this to the maintenance of websites and intranets

Knowledge of and proven ability to work within web standards and web accessibility guidelines

Ability to manage staff while identifying training needs across a team and promoting professionalism.

Demonstrated personal integrity whilst achieving results within legislative and policy parameters.
