Cyber Security Consultant (manager And Senior Manager Roles)

Your new role

You will be exposed to an exciting new opportunity, developing cyber security policies and cyber security strategies. As well as providing cyber risk and/or governance advice to our Australian Federal Government clients.

You will work in a highly skilled team of industry experts, providing security advice and guidance to assist our client with their governance, risk, and compliance requirements. While supporting the uplift of security posture and the understanding of security best practices across the organisation by:

•collaborating with internal teams and external service providers to troubleshoot production issues across all interrelated systems.

•ensuring the understanding of security risks and proposing fit-for-purpose mitigations.

•assisting with the uplift of cyber security posture and awareness to protect their systems and data.

To be successful
You will need strong written and verbal communication skills, a drive to learn and develop professionally, a keen attention to detail, and a passion for cyber security solutions. We are looking for people in their mid-career who are comfortable in the cyber security or adjacent industries.

To work with our Australian Federal Government clients, you must be an Australian citizen and either hold or be eligible and willing to obtain security clearance (minimum baseline). Other requirements include:
•practical understanding of cyber security concepts and/or experience in a similar role.
•a strong work ethic, ability to self-manage time to deliver outcomes as part of a dynamic team.
•a professional and polite demeanour, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The following experience will be highly regarded:
•familiarity with cyber management reporting and metrics
•familiarity with Information Security and Cyber Frameworks and standards (ISM, PSPF, Essential 8, ISO27001/2, etc.)
•experience with managing staff and the delivery of security outcomes.
•Practical experience with a wide range of security deliverables.
•highly developed oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
•Located in Canberra, or the willingness to relocate or travel for the role.
