About the Role
Barnardos are looking for a part-time (28 hours per week) 12 month contract Administration Support for the Carer Support Program based in Bruce, 2617
The Administration Support will be responsible for;
- Assisting with the maintenance of childcare records, along with client and carer files as per established standards. This includes ensuring all essential documents are filed, new files are prepared and information is updated as required
- Assisting with the logistics and the preparation of team meetings/training and events
- Answering the phone when required and alerting relevant workers for follow up. To keep a record of conversations with carers and clients
- Attend meetings as required and to take meeting minutes
- Participating in monthly supervision meetings with the Program Manager
- Liaise with relevant government departments
- Liaise with other community agencies and childcare services
- Liaise across the sector including caseworkers, carers and carer support staff
- Maintain appropriate documentation when providing service to client families
- Ensure all MyStory documentation and procedures are in place on files
- Utilise and maintain various data base systems to record information
- Send regular email updates as required to carers
About You
As a Administration Support , you will ideally have;
- Expertise in providing support services in complex situations
- Analytical and report writing skills
- Ability to work with and maintain data systems
- Computer skills in a Windows environment and use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint and other relevant software applications
- Previous experience providing administrative support within a team environment
- Ability to liaise with relevant government and non-government services
- Strong written communication skills and ability to prepare reports
- Computer competency

Salary: Base $57,896 to $67,268 (pro rata) per annum plus leave loading plus superannuation. Packaging available to receive $15,860 of your salary tax free. Motor vehicle packaging available on selected roles.
To be considered for roles with Barnardos you will need to have (or be willing to have conducted) a National Police Clearance and current Working with Children check Clearance (or APP number) and for the ACT a Drivers History Check, Working with Vulnerable People Card and CYPS Check.
Vaccination for COVID-19 is a condition of employment and engagement with Barnardos.
