Manager, Benefits Realisation Management

Job Description

The role

operates with a high level of autonomy, and your ability to build trust and partner closely with internal and external stakeholders will be critical to your success.

 

Key accountabilities:

 

  • Develop the project’s Benefits Realisation Plan, Investment Logic Map, Benefits Register and other documents to ensure alignment with the government’s guidelines, corporate strategies and key directions
  • Collaborate with benefit owners to ensure that benefits are clearly captured at the commencement of project lifecycle, clear benefits management strategies are developed and recorded and that the methods and metrics for reporting realisation are established through the project lifecycle in advance of benefits realisation reviews and evaluations processes.
  • Assure that benefits realisation management and evaluation requirements have been met as an investment progresses through the investment lifecycle
  • Provide support to project teams to assess the impact on benefits of variations and ensure there are mechanisms in place to track the realisation of benefits, both planned and unplanned, as they arise through the program and project lifecycle.
  • Track, monitor and report on the projects outcomes as part of benefits realisation reporting.
  • Lead in research or studies that are relevant to benefits realisation and outcome evaluation of projects.
  • Continuously improve the benefit realisation management practice at Sydney Metro. This includes implementing and supporting a new enterprise-graded benefits realisation management system.

About you

 

You are tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline (business, project management or engineering) or can demonstrate equivalent professional experience.

 

You communicate clearly, actively listen, and respond with understanding and respect whilst working collaboratively with others, valuing their contribution.

 

In addition, you will also have:

 

  • Sound knowledge of benefits realisation management, project management, business case development/ appraisal or program evaluation from a large organisation.
  • Exemplary communication skills, specifically being skilled in workshop facilitation.
  • Very team focused with a preference for working in a non-hierarchical structure as part of a small team with a broad scope.
  • Good analytical and reporting skills with experience of dashboard reporting.
  • Experience in implementing and/ or administrating an enterprise application is preferred (though this not essential)
  • A background from transport or infrastructure industry is preferred (though this is not essential)

 

 

Salary and benefits

 

The salary for this position is Transport Service Grade 9 ($142,178 – $159,228) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
