What will your typical day look like?

This is a busy, fast-paced environment that offers a lot of variety and the opportunity to progress your career. This role requires you to: understand key security compliance requirements as they relate to Defence and other Federal Government departments; provide advice on the scoping, design, documentation, and maintenance of classified on-premises networks and cloud environments; liaise with Defence, intelligence agencies and other accreditation authorities on a daily basis; maintain the security of certified protective security zones (PSZs) housing classified ICT equipment and capabilities; work as part of a team in driving the continuous improvement and annual renewal of Deloitte’s security program; and lead and coach junior members of the team. You will also be expected to: keep up to date on, and raise awareness of, security trends across industry and changes to Defence and Federal Government requirements; manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including Deloitte’s Business Security Office (BSO), Information and Technology Services (ITS) Team, as well as client-facing projects and engagements. You are someone who has 5+ years of experience with: scoping, designing, documenting and maintaining classified networks for Defence or Defence Industry; working within protective security zones (PSZs); compliance with: the Essential Eight (E8) Cyber Security Controls; the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP); the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF); the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF); the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM), International Standards Organisation (ISO 27K1) and/or National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) cyber security requirements; and In addition, you have: Strong written, oral and presentation skills Attention to detail Relevant industry certifications or tertiary qualifications in security, IT and/or cyber security Due to security requirements for this role, all applicants must be Australian citizens. NV1 security clearance is highly desirable.
