About this Opportunity

MTIA is seeking a persuasive and energised professional to grow and delivery our Cyber and Information Security Capability.

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), success will come from implementing agreed protection and resilience objectives along with influencing culture change across the organisation. This role will be required to translate complex Information and Cyber security concepts to various stakeholders and requires a high amount of nous. This role is required to actively engage internal and external stakeholders, drive information security maturity and cultural change, manage information security governance, audit plans and lead audit responses, monitor and report on operations, engage custodians and system owners in delivery of their information security responsibilities and leading the information security team, effectively as a Program Manager.

The Manager is responsible for developing MTIA’s information security program, leveraging as appropriate from Department and WoVG frameworks and artefacts to directly support MTIA’s mission. This role provides key information Security Engagement Leadership capability across MTIA ensuring the program provides appropriate oversight of information security (across Information, ICT, Personnel and Physical security domains).

The Manager will develop strategies for ensuring the security of physical and digital information assets and that ICT systems are fit for purpose, current and correctly implemented.

The Manager contributes to the effective development, implementation and delivery of information security services and provides expert input into services planning and development to maintain efficient business performance and meet current and future requirements.
