About our opportunity
Our Asset Management Department plays a lead role in the strategic, tactical and operational performance of Council’s 800,000 + assets including roads, stormwater, parks, buildings, bridges and marine. Council’s capital works program is $200 million+ each year, including renewal of its existing $6.5 billion asset base. The Asset Management department is focused on integrating with all areas of Council’s assets to achieve best practice asset management and deliver a high-quality service to the community.
In the role of a GIS and Asset Data Officer, you’ll play an integral role in the Asset Management team to undertake asset data integrity improvements and spatial capture activities such as:
You’ll be improving the quality of Council’s asset related information in our strategic asset management systems, ensuring we continue to deliver high quality service to our communities.
About you
You can bring your experience managing large and complex data sets relating to asset and GIS data, your existing knowledge of asset management systems, practices and processes, and high attention to detail and spatial accuracy.
If you’re well versed in interpreting engineering drawings and cross validating with spatial data, have experience with ESRI ArcGis, and the ability to capture and manipulate spatial data, this role is for you.
You’ll be using your excellent time management, effective problem solving and highly developed interpersonal skills and have a strong focus on providing quality customer service.
