- $65,857 – $79,827 + 17% superannuation (HEO4 or HEO5 depending on qualifications and experience)
About the position
An opportunity exists for a talented and motivated Research Assistant to work with Dr Kazuhide Shaun Okuda and A/Prof Ivan Poon in the La Trobe Institute for Molecular Science, La Trobe University (Bundoora).
The Okuda/Poon Laboratory aims to understand mechanisms of disease progression using the zebrafish model to identify novel therapeutic agents/targets. The successful candidate will have an Honour’s or Master’s degree in Biomedical Science. The candidate will have strong molecular biology skills for research.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have;
- Completion of an Honour’s or Master’s degree in Biomedical Science or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Ability to innovate and take responsibility for outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities and monitor workflows within own area of responsibility.
- Demonstrated capacity to organise work effectively and efficiently and deliver outputs in a timely manner.
