About the role

We are currently seeking a Digital Insights Specialist for a role based in Perth, WA. This role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.

Key responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders to understand their decision insight needs and pain points leveraging techniques such as design-thinking;
  • Translate these needs to data and technical requirements; and undertake relevant data analysis and low-fidelity solution prototyping (e.g., wireframing) to validate end-user needs;
  • Design and develop relevant data products, such as Power BI dashboards, including defining the data models;
  • Work with broader LOR technology teams (IT, Digital) to translate and inform the transition of ad-hoc data products into more scalable and industrialised solutions;
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis to validate and quality assurance data accuracy; and
  • Guide, coach and mentor end-users to leverage and institute relevant data products (e.g., dashboards) within their decision-making process

About you

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with a broad spectrum of business stakeholders from shop-floor to senior leaders
  • A user-centric mindset to understand and define requirements and proven ability to translate user needs for insights into data and visualisation requirements
  • Experience in a hands-on role interpreting and telling stories with data across a wide range of datasets and applications
  • Ability to cleanse, transform and validate data
  • Demonstrable experience in working with and across a wide range of data and analytics related technologies, including but not limited to SQL, Power BI, QlikSense
  • Experience working with cost and schedule data (Prism and P6) is preferable.
