The Role
Our Operations division have a 12 month Fixed Term opportunity for a Network Operations DMS Design Officer to be located at Newstead, Rockhampton or Townsville. The Network Operations DMS Design Officer maintains the Distribution Management System (DMS) displays and connectivity model by interpreting design documentation and ensuring the system is operational for the switching and commissioning process. They interface with several internal and external stakeholders to ensure DMS accuracy and are a key point of contact in troubleshooting abnormalities in connectivity and data sources.
Job details
The ideal candidate will have:
•An understanding of the production of DMS displays and SCADA interfaces to the DMS system;
• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical networks from low to transmission voltages and its representation on maps, diagrams, in design drawings and in Distribution Management System;
•Experience with design tools (eg AutoCAD, Microstation).
• Appropriate Advanced Diploma (e.g. Electrical Engineering) or equivalent qualification;
• A ‘C’ class drivers licence;

Remuneration will start from $106,970 to $123,550 per annum + superannuation depending on whether it would be a 9 or 10 day fortnight. The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the successful applicant’s knowledge, skills and competencies that are required in this position. Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Energy Queensland Union Collective Agreement 2020.
