Reporting to the Cyber Security and Infrastructure Manager, the Network and Unified Communications Lead is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Networking and Unified Communications (UC) team in the support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of WesTrac’s networking and unified communications environment
The successful individual is also accountable for the architectural design, implementation, security, and ongoing management of the WesTrac networking and unified communications environment.
This role is also responsible for liaising and engaging with internal stakeholders to evaluate and design solutions suitable for the business and customer requirements through the application of complex design principles and methodology which will integrate with and enhance the network, ensuring cost-effective and optimal use of resources and technology.
Location: South Guildford, WA
Roster: Monday – Friday, 8.5-hour days
To be successful the following is required:
- Previous experience in ICT, with additional experience specialising in Networks and Unified Communications architecture, design, implementation, and project management
- A strong understating of network architecture, design, and implementation
- Ability to make decisions on architectural design in the solution scope and analyse the impact on cost, performance, reliability, security, and other significant requirements
- Work closely with the Cyber Security teams on network security compliance as well as technical control implementation where required
- Strong project management skills with an ability to lead complex network and communication projects
- Ability to drive outcomes while adhering to architectural, operational and security objectives
- Managing multiple networks over geo dispersed locations
- A proven record of accomplishment in Cisco technologies with certifications preferred
- Mentor, develop and lead a dedicated team of technical resources
- Experience liaising with vendors, suppliers, service providers and external resources, monitoring contractual obligations and performance delivery
- Demonstrated ability to work within an environment of competing priorities with strict deadlines, effective interpersonal and written communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team
- Organised, methodical, and detail-oriented, with outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and report on multiple tasks concurrently, prioritising efforts, managing time effectively, and requiring minimal supervision in the execution
