Senior Software Test Engineer – Digital & Identity

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Test Engineer with automation experience

Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne location with great benefits and flexibility

The Senior Software Test Engineer works with the team to perform and guide on all types of testing, ensuring that the quality of the solution and resulting test artefacts meet the needs and requirements of our customers. You will be an advocate for testing, automation, and continuous improvement.

You will communicate and collaborate to enhance the existing QA structure and take the lead role within the team to improve test techniques, solve problems, and create effective automation. As Senior Test Engineer, you have advanced knowledge of software design and can coach other Test Engineers to uplift the capability of the Chapter and Engineering Practice.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute testing strategies, process improvements and standards for your deliverables

Ensure that the relevant levels and types of testing needed to produce quality software are executed and planned into the delivery lifecycle

Design, develop and implement automation frameworks

Effectively manage stakeholder expectations and requirements

Provide thought leadership in QA practices, and continuously drive improvements in the QA domain

Coach more junior level team members

Skills & Experience

Minimum 5+ years appropriate industry experience in a Software Test Engineer role

Demonstrated experience in adopting or implementing test automation frameworks

Experience in various programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Groovy, Python, etc.)

Previous experience in automated and manual testing of APIs, mobile and web applications

Experience in leading, advising and coaching junior Software Test Engineers

Experience in AWS Cloud Technologies well regarded

Previous experience in the application of Agile and Lean approaches
