About ABC Audiences

ABC Audiences is made up of a passionate group of marketing, brand, creative, audience experience, UX and audience insights specialists who have audiences at the heart of all they do. They’re responsible for leading the ABC’s brand and audience strategies, acquiring and engaging audiences both within our broadcast and digital ecosystems and working collaboratively with partner divisions to lead an integrated approach to audience insights, branding, acquisition and retention strategies, and communication.

About the Role

ABC Audiences is seeking a Marketing Specialist to develop and manage marketing campaigns to promote ABC products, talent and content to target new and existing audience segments with a focus on ABC Radio Melbourne.

You will also:

  • Provide regular feedback and strategic advice on brand and content marketing opportunities to internal stakeholders
  • Devise, present and report on the annual local marketing plan for ABC Radio Melbourne
  • In collaboration with the ABC Radio Melbourne management and content teams, create content campaigns and optimise for social and digital platforms
  • Use Audience Insights and data analytics tools to identify opportunities for growth
  • Develop and foster strategic, collaborative relationships with key internal and external partners
  • Develop, brief and execute best practice cross platform campaigns end to end
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships, and coordinate key local events and activations
  • Build engaging weekly newsletters to be distributed to audience database
  • Assist in the development of staff and contribute to marketing projects

About You

We are looking for a dynamic Marketing Specialist with experience across planning, implementation and optimisation of effective strategic marketing and audience engagement campaigns.

In this key role, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in generating, implementing and tracking end-to-end marketing campaigns, leveraging data and insights to inform this work
  • A natural ability to supervise, train and develop less experienced employees
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills managing complex project deliverables, timelines, and resources effectively
  • Advanced stakeholder management, negotiation and presentation skills
