About the Role

/Duties:

Reporting to the Group IT Manager, the position manages the smooth operation and security of all IT Infrastructure and facilities, provides necessary training and advisory/consultative services to the management and internal business teams.

Key responsibilities:

Assist in the planning and implementation of IT infrastructure projects;

Ensure all IT Infrastructure is maintained and operational;

Diagnose faults/interruptions as they occur and suggest/provide appropriate solutions;

Assist with the installation, relocation of end user IT Infrastructure and applications;

Ensure the security of Data and Equipment;

Assist in the direction, procurement and provision of up-to-date equipment and software;

Provision of necessary training to staff;

Provision of advisory/consultative services within the management team;

Perform daily checks, including security, replications, backups, network and batch jobs; and

Provide support for hardware, operating systems, MS 365, Power Platform Apps, Cisco network, Voice systems, VMware, NetApp, AD/Group policy, Terminal services, Exchange, Mimecast, Crowdstrike, Endpoint Central and core business applications.

Skills & Experience

Within the context of the role described above, the ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key experience/capabilities:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar Systems Administrator or System Engineer role;

Strong experience administering on-premise and cloud based infrastructure;

Extensive experience with Windows Server, AD, Exchange, O365 and VMWare;

Experience with a range of security products;

Experience working on a variety of infrastructure projects advantageous;

Experience with monitoring tools; and

Clear and articulate communication skills, strong time management skills and high attention to detail.
