Job Description
Our client in Canberra seeks the services of .Net Developers with baseline clearance
Requirements The department is looking to engage .NET/Full Stack Developers (Multiple) to work in the Digital Solutions Division (DSD). The department is responsible for the successful delivery of key IT projects in alignment with strategic programs within the department.
The successful candidate will be working closely with Project teams around the design for new and existing applications. Completing the analysis, design, construction and testing of assigned functionality within allocated timeframes Understanding and promoting a corporate approach to applications development through the development and re-use of components, standards, procedures and guidelines.
Responsibilities may include
- Under own direction, manage all stages and activities associated with the application development process.
- Strong technical skills in:
- .Net Framework/.Net Core
- Modern front-end frameworks such as Vue.JS
- Restful APIs
- SQL server
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code to specifications following Departmental standards, practices and security requirements, for example implementing APIs or services for internal and external use
- Improve and maintain existing legacy systems
- Conduct unit and integration testing under supervision, record the details of any failures.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships both internally and externally
Selection Criteria
Essential criteria
1. Experience developing and delivering public facing web applications utilizing established development tools, guidelines and conventions including the following technologies:
• ASP.NET MVC / .NET Core
• JavaScript / Typescript
• CSS frameworks including Bootstrap
• Microsoft Web API / REST Architecture
2. Experience in SQL / Entity Framework
3. Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies and Microsoft Azure
Desirable criteria
1. Experience in CI/CD Practices
2. Experience with PowerShell automation
3. Experience with concurrent development source control (Git)
4. Experience in Solution Design Patterns and Best Practices, e.g. SOA Experience in Reactive frontend frameworks including React, Vue or Angular
Australian Citizens only
Length of Contract: 12 months with possible extension up to 12 months
