Your Opportunity
The Integrated Homelessness Supported Accommodation Program is a collaboration of complementary services and agencies that is establishing co-located specialist supports such as Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drug, and other specialist homelessness providers. Mission Australia provides client engagement and case coordination services for people who are living at the facility.
This varied position will provide administrative support and fulfil a variety of tasks essential for the effective running of the Program. You will also provide support other Mission Australia staff to complete administration as needed.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Assist Managers to collate and prepare data for reports
- Attend and record minutes at regular team meetings
- Manage and maintain stationery and kitchen stock
- Direct clients requiring further assistance to external emergency relief providers
- Make appointments and provide onsite emergency relief to people requiring financial assistance
- Maintain adherence with all internal and external policies and procedures including contractual obligations, WHS, privacy and EEO
- Maintain asset registers, staff induction and training registers
- Induct new staff in administrative processes
- Implement relevant OH&S and Child and Youth Safe policies, procedures and supporting documents
Requirements for Success
- Minimum of 3 years administrative experience
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite and database systems, and keyboard experience
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Good relationship-building and teamwork skills
- Solid customer service experience and skills
- Previous experience working with vulnerable people at risk of homelessness
- Evidence of full Covid 19 vaccination
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people are strongly encouraged to apply
