Senior Data Scientist at LVT People (Sydney)

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Lead data Scientist for a leading IT consulting client in Sydney. Our client is a dynamic and growing consulting firm with a focus on delivering innovative digital solutions to leading banks, ASX-listed companies, and government agencies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with expertise in with Cloud (AWS or Azure) and be highly motivated to drive the growth of our data science practice.

Some of the key responsibilities are to:

Lead data science projects for clients, including data analysis, modeling, and visualization
Develop and implement data science solutions to solve business problems
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Mentor and train junior data scientists
Collaborate with other teams to develop and implement data strategies
Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in data science

Requirements

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
5+ years of experience in data science, including experience with data analysis, modeling, and visualization
Experience with Cloud (AWS or Azure)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience leading and mentoring teams
Experience with machine learning and statistical modeling
Experience working with large and complex data sets
