Due to an internal promotion, WesTrac are now seeking the skills and experience of a passionate and dedicated Developer to join the team.

Reporting to the Applications Development Lead, this individual will be responsible for the design, development, implementation and ongoing BAU maintenance of WesTrac’s custom developed solutions. The Developer will also work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to ensure WesTrac’s custom applications solve business problems.

Location:  South Guildford, WA

Roster:  Monday – Friday, 8.5-hour days

Key Focus Areas:

  • Ongoing development and maintenance of custom WesTrac applications
  • Assess existing business processes and provide recommendations in order to maintain best practices and improve efficiency
  • Govern and support the Microsoft Power Platform and citizen developer community in the organisation

    • To be successful the following is required: 

  • Tertiary Qualification in Computer Science or related degree, or significant industry experience
  • Solid experience in a similar role within a large corporate organisation
  • ASP.NET (C# / VB / MVC / Razor)
  • SQL Server / Entity Framework / LINQ
  • Web APIs
  • Source Control and CI/CD using TFS, Azure DevOps or similar
  • HTML / JavaScript / Ajax / JQuery / CSS / Bootstrap
  • Windows Server / Internet Information Services (IIS)
  • Phases of the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Project Management Methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile and Scrum
  • Change Management
  • Be well aligned and exhibit WesTrac’s SPARC values of Safety, Pride, Accountability, Respect and Customer

    • Desirable Experience:

  • Atlassian Confluence and JIRA
  • Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps / Power Automate)
  • Microsoft Azure Services
  • Design Patterns
