PERSOLKELLY is seeking IT Cyber Security officer for one of their Key Government Client for their IT team.
You will be responsible for security event monitoring, vulnerability management, patching and analysis of security incidents across the City’s IT infrastructure. Assist in providing ongoing development and maintenance of the City’s network & cyber security services.
Provide support to the ongoing development and maintenance of information systems risk and security controls to protect the information assets
Responsibilities
Perform and support scheduled vulnerability scans, remediation, and compliance testing to ensure City meets Essential Eight Maturity Level requirements for patching software and hardware Monitor, support and review authentication and access control, next-gen firewalls, endpoint protection and relevant cloud security solutions Assist in development of appropriate corporate cyber security strategies and protocols, in addition to contributing to the continual improvement of the performance of the City’s Cyber Security systems and capability, Identify and implement security processes and policies to protect the City’s corporate computer network. Assist in providing technical support, recommendations, and system improvements for the City’s Security Vulnerability Management system. Patching of software and hardware based on vulnerability assessment report, in addition to managing a mobile device management solution. Liaise with IT Infrastructure team and Help Desk teams to provide high level support regarding network & cyber security support issues Attend relevant organisational meetings as required, representing the Department as appropriate. Effectively promote compliance with Work Health & Safety and Environment policies and procedures to maintain safe work practices and a safe working environment, whilst protecting and sustaining the environment. Effectively encourage recommendations to improve systems, policies and practices to ensure the continuous improvement of the City’s Business Management System. Exercise appropriate authority whilst acting in the best interests of the City, its Customers and the Community, meeting legislative and operational requirements. Undertake other duties within the scope and level of this position as directed by the Manager Information Technology. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Possession of, or progression towards, a relevant qualification in Information Technology. Demonstratable experience in exposure to administration of endpoint security software, firewall administration, internet and email gateway management. Demonstratable experience and understanding in cyber security management processes including network security, malware prevention, monitoring IT risks and security vulnerabilities. Demonstratable experience conducting network security and vulnerability assessment activities. Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people and groups both inside and outside the organisation, to ensure delivery of a high level of customer service. Well-developed organisational skills with proven ability to effectively priorities project work and coordinate conflicting priorities to meet strict deadlines and achieve organisational objectives. Well-developed analytical skills with the ability to solve day to day problems and provide innovative solutions, to ensure organisational outcomes are achieved. Ability to think strategically and make sound decisions, applying the appropriate level of confidentiality to the role. Ability to work effectively under pressure, both as a team member and autonomously, with minimal supervision. Possession of, or the ability to acquire, a current motor vehicle driver’s license. Possession of, or the ability to acquire, a satisfactory National Police Clearance Certificate (dated within the last twelve months). HOW TO APPLY
