    The Role

    Reporting to the National General Manager Club Support, the Events and Youth Manager is focused on successfully leading, managing and implementing the Australian Sailing Events Calendar including the provision of suitable development and identification opportunities for youth sailors. The role will work closely with internal and external partners to ensure events are coordinated and delivered successfully. The role will require stakeholder management with Governments and partners to source and secure funding for the promotion and delivery of strategically important events. 

    Principle Accountabilities

    The Events and Youth Manager has the following key accountabilities:

  • Lead, influence and manage.
  • Clubs and Classes support and engagement.
  • Grow participation.
  • Facilitate workforce training for Officials.
  • Project involvement.

    About you

    We’re looking for a person who ideally comes from a sailing background, so you understand the sport – and has experience managing (and implementing) sailing events and regattas. We want someone who can influence others, form meaningful partnerships with key stakeholders, multi-task like the best of them, and have a desire to see sailing grow.
