    The Role

    The Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre is Western Australia’s premier event destination which is home to Perth’s top gala dinners and events, large scale conferences to small boardroom meetings, corporate events, exciting exhibitions, weddings and theatres performances.

    With this diversity, we are seeking brilliant and organised Kitchen Administrator who’s primarily responsibility is to provide complete administrative services to the Executive Chef and to other PCEC kitchen team members.

    To be the correct candidate for the Venue, you will need to share the vision and direction of the PCEC. This role is an amazing opportunity to work in a world class venue in the heart of the city. General duties change by the day, so you will need a ‘Can do Attitude’. Must be a people person who is able to build strong relationships, well presented and have excellent communication skills.

    Day to day activities including but not limited to:

  • Establish and maintain on a daily basis a detailed and concise file of kitchen work orders.
  • Perform clerical duties for the Executive Chef and other Senior Chefs as required, including correspondence, emails etc. 
  • Promote the smooth running of the kitchen, carrying out other reasonable tasks as required by Executive Chef.
  • Receive visitors and liaise with all internal and external customers, stakeholders and contacts to arrange meetings.
  • Coordinate meetings inclusive of agenda distribution, minute taking and document preparation if required.
  • Coordinate and prepare reports and presentations.
  • Assist with safety related tasks where required.
  •  Key attributes

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Administrative role.
  • Excellent customer service & problem-solving skills – internal and external clients
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Excel and Word
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Previous hospitality experience/knowledge is desirable.
  • A current Driving License would be advantageous.
