About the role
Reporting into Communications and Engagement Manager, you will be playing a key role in planning and managing Our Watch events and establishing strong relationships with partners and major stakeholders. You will develop the engagement strategy and propose, plan and execute events using a broad mix of formats, and work with a range of suppliers to effectively engage stakeholders. Working closely with the Senior Internal Communications and Engagement Advisor, you will also develop and deliver successful internal staff events.
 
In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic event advice and leading on communication content, such as key messages and speeches, while developing a communications plan to support events. You will also coordinate and support high profile speakers and work closely with Our Watch’s CEO and senior leaders to achieve business goals.

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Event Management or another related field.
  • Strong ability to develop a clear engagement strategy and communicate with a range of diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in planning and implementing successful events of all sizes.
  • Ability to manage complex issues, interpreting the reputational impact and developing strategies to anticipate and manage the potential consequences
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive experience in developing and maintain strong relationship with stakeholders, partners and suppliers.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects, including the ability to set clearly defined objectives and priorities, plan and manage workload, and utilise systems to track progress.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • While not necessarily from the prevention sector, you understand Our Watch’s vision and mission, and you can see how this will motivate you to help grow Our Watch’s reach, awareness and engagement.
