(HEO8) $102,266 to $114,731 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

Are you keen to lead a team working at the interface of research support and evolving library services? This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual capable of delivering strong results by building strategic working relationships across the University to deliver targeted library services.
The Manager, Research Engagement is responsible for leading the Research and Engagement team who deliver the Library’s research service through strategic and proactive outreach and engagement activities. The role will develop, monitor and review strategies which position the research and engagement team as partners and collaborators with academics, with an emphasis on proactive engagement with faculties and schools. The Manager, Research Engagement has responsibility for leading the service delivery of the Library’s Research Support Framework, including leadership of library research support systems and open access initiatives. The development and monitoring of key performance measures are central to this role to demonstrate the value and impact of library research services.
To be successful you will need:
- Extensive experience in developing, delivering and supporting library research and outreach and engagement services.
- Proven ability in leading a team, demonstrating well-developed people management and change management skills.
- Demonstrated experience in collaborating and fostering excellent relationships with diverse stakeholders across a complex organisation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of open access, scholarly publishing, research data management, research impact measures and research support systems throughout the research lifecycle.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills including the ability to negotiate, motivate, influence and build relationships to achieve desired outcomes.
