Digital Pathology Business Analyst

Role

The Digital Business Analyst is responsible for ensuring all project requirements are captured, validated and signed off. This role is able to understand and interpret clinical and business workflows, technical requirements and developing solutions to business problems to improving patient outcomes across the organisation. The role requires a professional that has experience in the delivery of end to end projects and project services including documenting process flow maps, producing project artefacts, keeping track of key deliverables and dependencies, project performance improvement, and at-risk project management.

Beginning with defining, analysing, and documenting requirements at the project level to help fulfill business needs, this role will work closely with the Clinical Applications Project Manager and Service Design Project Lead to:

  • Gather and critically analyse relevant data to facilitate decision making, design and evaluation of improvement initiatives, and monitor progress towards the project objectives.
  • Develop rigorous governance and reporting processes to ensure improvement initiatives and actions are accountable and sustained as the new service commences operations.
  • Contribute to the Shared Pathology Project leadership team planning and activities
  • Contribute to the delivery of Digital Pathology Projects for the Shared Pathology service which combines Alfred and Monash Health Provide project support to the Digital Pathology leadership team and contribute to the overall program deliverables

    About You:

  • Demonstrated experience in contributing to large scale complex enterprise-wide projects (over $1M), both application and infrastructure based, from start to finish, ideally in a healthcare or hospital setting.
  • Proven experience in providing specialist application and implementation leadership for Cerner or similar clinical information systems relevant to large ICT service provision.
  • Experience in working on projects with large user migration
  • Able to go beyond just delivering the project, but to understand the business and add value to your stakeholders
  • Highly self-managing and able to set and work towards deadlines/milestones
  • Ensure projects adhere to the project governance framework
  • Experience in managing change within a 24×7 environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively across organisational boundaries to build strong working relationships with customers, vendors and team members, and facilitate solution development
  • Exceptional ability to negotiate and influence others
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in working with and presenting to all levels of the business up to Senior Executive
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills 
  • What You Need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent professional/business experience
  • Certification in a Project Management methodology (preferable PRINCE2)
  • Experience working in complex environments
  • An established understanding of health services and service delivery objectives
  • Capacity to work with stakeholders including directors, senior managers and front line staff to ensure the continued delivery of safe and high quality services
